My name is Angie and I am new here, but it looks cozy already;)
I currently have 2 male Shih Tzu (both have been clicker trained, and will hopefully be taking their CGC test this winter), 2 lazy cats (11 yo), and I keep my elderly MIL's 11 yo lab and 8 yo ball crazed mix for her on an as needed basis.
I'm a strong supporter of rescue, have done some fostering in the past, and have recently joined forces with Mid Atlantic Border Collie Rescue. I will be adding a 3rd resident dog to my family to do dog sports with in about a year (maybe even Spring if all goes well). My first choice is a Border Collie, hence my decision to work hands on with as many as possible (while helping to rehabilitate them) before making that life changing decision:yikes:
I read dog behavior books for fun (DH and family members think that's geeky) and I am an Agility beginner. I am currently running one of our rescues, Fritz (the avatar pic) through an agility class that is offered at the rescue I work with.
And....my posts are always too long - sorry, I'm working on that!
Looking forward to FRIENDLY chats! :D
