wow. NOW she looks pregnant. good grief. maybe before she just looked like all of the ill-cared-for, overweight pugs i've ever known. they've been dolls too, though -- all of them! just chubby. ;)

I keep trying to tell her that she's not comfortable and is suppose to be resting! She insists otherwise and tried to take off in a total boot scoot in the yard yesterday:rolleyes:

Well, this might give you some perspective of where she started out at! :D I think this was taken two weeks after being bred?

Yep, Grammy. She's due in 5 days. I have been temping her since Monday and her temp is a little odd - staying right around 99F, but it's consistent so I am not concerned. My vet wants me to contact her when it goes below 98F.
I take her in tomorrow morning for a progesterone test. Then she'll go in every day and have blood taken. Once the progesterone drops below a certain point we'll do the c-section. So at this point I don't know when it will be. The stud dog owner swears it will happen on Monday and she is "never wrong." She is basing her estimate off of Alice's progesterone levels and experience with her dogs so I'll be eager to see if she's right! She's been breeding for many years...
Walking milk bar, party of one! :D

Nope, most people let their pugs free whelp. They usually deliver most of the litter okay and then get tired and have trouble with the last puppy or two. This results in dead puppies or needing a section in the end anyway.
I chose to have an elective c-section because it gives me the best chance at all the puppies surviving.
