Has anyone here ever done it? I am attending a Freestyle seminar tonight and if it ends up being something I like then class with Teeny starts next week!

If you haven't seen Freestyle, or if you've only ever seen the lady with the Golden Retriever doing Grease, you need to check out the link below. Especially the Charlie Chaplin and Gladiator routines. This guy is a former Schutzhund trainer who can't dance, but his routines are simply spectacular.

I'd love to get into Musical Freestyle with Echo....unfortunately, there's nowhere around here that teaches it. I was on YouTube not long ago & must have watched hundreds of routines...some of them were pretty amazing!

Have fun at your seminar!!

I'm doing freestyle with Saffie. At one point Saffie knew all the common obedience commands and I wanted to do something different. Then I saw the video of the lady with the Golden Retriever doing Grease, and I started teaching Saffie some weaves and turns. I was amazed how easy she learned those simple tricks, and we had a lot of fun training them so I then I signed us up for a class. And after that we did another class, and now we started doing competitions. It's so much fun. We're not very good, well Saffie is but I'm not :D , but that doesn't matter.

Have fun at the seminar and with the class, if you sign up.
Great link, I allready knew the site and the routines are simply amazing. I especially love the Pirates of the Carribean routine.

i've played around with it a little bit, mostly as a way to work heeling in a less-serious and more fun way. i bought the book dancing with your dog (http://dogwise.com/ItemDetails.cfm?ID=DTA210) which is pretty nice. it shows you how to teach very basic stuff along with some more complicated moves.

So the seminar was GREAT! I can't wait to start class with Teeny next week. I'm almost tempted to do it with Wally also . . . just for fun, of course. But a dancing Greyhound would be a **** good time!! I'm so excited!!!!!!!!!!!!

I did some stuff for fun with my Eskie when i was younger, nothing serious, just kind of some turns and spins and weaves and things, i don't think i ever even put it to music, but it was cool.
