I was wondering, since I'm planing on importing a puppy from mexico, but some of the breeders I'm making contact they don't live in mexico city but in another citys far away.
I was plannin on gettin a puppy in my vacation to mexico but sice where the breeders live is far away they say they can ship the pup To the airport in mexico city so I can pick it there of if I have another person to pick it up for me and sent it in a flight to my country.
But I'm a bit unshure, if there someone here that had gotten a imported dog that was shipped?
How safe if for the puppy, I'm worried if it got stolen in the way or the paper (pedigree and vacinnes) can get lost?
Also looks like many breeders only have a national guarantee for the pup and not international so I'm worried about that too. :(

Think you need to wait to find a better breeder honestly. My american dog's health guarantee is valid though I'm canadian, and he lives here.
Breeder should be willing to put the dog on a flight so you can pick it up with appropriate ID at the closest airport to you.
But that said, a good breeder would want to meet, talk a lot on the phone, emails etc for a long while pre selling or shipping a puppy.

I think that as long as it is planned correctly that it's okay to ship puppies. Bella had a hell of a time getting here, but I'd do it all again to get her. Go with a reputable airline. Alaska Airlines in not reputable.

I'd be glad to hand deliver a pup to you if you pay for my ticket !!! LOL !! Kidding aside ...this would be a worry to me . Had I had the internet at my disposal during my breeding years , I would NEVER have sold to anyone I hadn't met ( unless highly recommended by a former buyer or friend ) . You must contact a breeder that someone on Chaz can check out for you . There are too many crooked breeders out there .... I don't trust the internet . Any litter worth it's salt is not sold this way .

What breed are you getting? Perhaps I can help do some searching. Have you thought of importing from the US or Canada?

Until it will be better if the breeder can take some puppies to the hotel so I can see them before buying.
