I'd like to find someone in the Boston area that has a motorcycle that could help recondition Manni. I don't really know where to post something like this, but I figured I'd start here.

Details:
- Manni loves people but *hates* motorcycles. The idea is to gradually recondition him to associate motorcycles to nice people with yummy treats.

- The person will need to be calm-natured and not startled by a large barking dog. We will make absolutely sure that this person is in no danger.

- Manni reacts more to big loud motorcycles than smaller ones. We could start small, but in the end I'd like to recondition him to a larger bike.

- It doesn't matter if the person is male or female

- It would be a big bonus if the person has experience with dogs

- Depending on how it goes, we may need several sessions to effectively recondition Manni

- We can negotiate compensation

If anyone in the Boston area (we're in Arlington) is willing to help out, or knows someone, please private message me so we can talk.

Also, if someone has tips to better approach a reconditioning like this, I'm open to suggestions.

Thanks,
Adam

P.S. You can read more about Manni's motorcycle hatred here:

I suggest posting on Craigslist, because it will be seen by lots of people in your specific city. :) Uh . . . I'm not sure where it would go. Maybe the "Misc" section of the Jobs part?

Yeah I looked at posting on Craigslist, but I couldn't find an appropriate place to put it. I may end up going that route if I can't find someone through this forum.

My dog hates motorcycles also. What about the outside classes cyclists have to take to get their license.
I saw 10 or 12 morotcycles and a bunch of pylons set up. The riders I presume have to navigate around the pylons to learn how to drive the motorcycle properly.

I was thinking of taking my dog there and sit far,far away to start. They cycles wouldn't be revving very loud and they would be moving slowly.

Not a bad idea, but I was hoping for something a little more personal. I envision the driver personally tossing Manni treats and petting him when the motorcycle is off.

(Gratuitous bump)

Sorry, figured some people might have been away for the long weekend and missed this thread. I really want to get help for Manni. :(
