anyone else do protection...schH or Ring?

Just curious. have trained in schutzhund before but have now moved to French Ring and PSA. anyone else?

We went to see a k-9 pro sports even that really enjoyed. We will do some protection work with our bandog puppy.

I'm familiar with schutzund, I've seen a few shows on it. How does one get into something like that? How much training does it take to do something like that. I always thought that stuff was very interesting and impressive.

Yes, we have her. Kona is almost 7 months old, with very high prey drive. A little handler sensitive, which is a bandog trait but is getting better on leash. We have to do more socialization with her as we got her at 5 months old. She should be a good candidate for bite work down the line. She has shown no handler aggression or towards our other pets thus far. Mr. Lucero who we got her from, has excellent dogs, stable temperament, high drive, and good family companions. She is very young and has a long way to go. This was taken 2 weeks ago, and she has gotten bigger since then.

I have heard about Donovan K9...but a bit of a far drive. There are a LOT of psa events in/around chicagoland. so we get to do that often. My club trains for both Ring and PSA...there are a lot of similarities so it works out nice. I gave up schH for the faster more intense pace of ring and psa. But to start anything you find a GOOD CLUB and people that know what they are doing!!

I do schutzhund, have a 18 month old male german shepherd. did it with both of my previous gsd's as well.

He is ranked 4 in the nation in his class of sports. Where did you get your dog from btw? I may be able to send you to my cusion, he has AB dogs and my be able to add you. All his dog train for sport and work. I would be happy to get you into contact with him.

I am in northern louisiana and train with a club in bataon rouge. started training in texas with russ osburn, who now lives in kansas and trains for whirling thunder. I got my boy from a breeder in belgium.

I live in Villa Park and train with Mike Pulford and the Northern Illinois Dog training club. I have also worked with Tom Riche and Steve Beal.
