Princess goes outside to pee, but I haven't seen her do number 2 outside. but she has no problem doing it in my room! She usually does it during the morning along with leaving a puddle of pee sometimes too!! How can I stop this behavior? Right now I'm looking to buy a crate for her to minimize her urges to do so in my room. I doubt it any dog wants to sleep with their messes, and also if she does have an accident atleast all I have to do is clean the crate and not mop/deodorize/disinfect my whole room over and over again. But until I could get the crate, what can I do now to stop this? I think she does it during the middle of the night and I don't want to wake up in the middle of the night to take her out!! But sometimes I find her presents throughout the day too. So I don't think its those ''she can't hold it'' accidents neither. When I take her outside sometimes she'll go pee, and she never goes poo. And I take her out many times throughout the day to prevent accidents. I praise her when she goes pee outside. Sometimes I just think she doesn't think outside is where you go pee at. Because as soon as I open the door my dogs jolt out to go pee, but she just stands there or just wanders about the yard. So I take her to the place where she usually pee and have to wait awhile until she eventually ''sometimes'' goes pee. I want for her to just go pee by her self sometimes. Especially in the morning time since I have to go to school, I want to take the dogs out and get them back in as soon as possible. And at night I live behind a business and i don't like just standing outside with dangers that might be lurking at nighttime. Usually Didi & Pepe just pee closest to the door and they go right back in, but Princess likes to pee farther in the yard close to where the business is. Its true when they say dachshund are hard to housetrain!!
