Dog training?

I have a golden Retreiver, he is one year old. He is fixed, He listens when he sees me, as soon as I leave he does what he wont do in front of me, like eat the plants and scare my birds. I walk him for an hour a day, but that only tires him out for an hour.
Additional Details

I've had a pitmix in the past, he was very obediant. I tried to do the same with this dog but nothing seems to work. I love my Sunny but hes driving me crazy.

Have you considered getting a cat? Golden Retrievers are known to be particularly good with cats and they often become the best of friends. If you get a cat, then they can play with each other all day and the dog will ignore the birds!

Don't give him the opportunity.

When you must leave him alone, put him in a crate with a tasty treat to keep him entertained.
