This morning my dog and I had a rare treat my husband came out with me to walk the dog, we decided to go to somewhere new just a little park down the road. When we got there, there was another couple there with their Lab retriver, they were training it to retrive, we were in awe as we watch them get this dog to run back and forth between them through water and everything, fetching and stopping and changing direction all at the sound of a whistle, it was really good, we watched them for ages.
This has inspired us after I am out of hospital and well enough to really get to grips together on training our dog, at the moment I train my husband doesnt bother results dog pleases its self, now my husband see the benefits of both of us training her.
So I shall be on here every day while I am recovering reading all the posts and putting together a training plan.

It sure is inspiring when you see other people work with their wonderfully-trained dogs! It inspires me so much, that I truly and honestly want to become a dog behaviorist/trainer as a career, or at least an off-to-the-side sort of profession. I envy trainers who can understand dogs' minds like they're reading a book!
