Aussie changing colors

Grizzley is about 3 1/2 months now and his colring is changing. I read about this online but thought the article had said that it wasn't very common. Does anyone one know when the color change will be complete? Someone told me he's a variation on the red merle, he use to have black spots on his body that were kinda see through where you could see the tan/red color underneath and now those are gone. I liked his spots! Just curious is anyone know more about this.

Some breeds (especially longer coated ones like aussies) will lose their puppy coat around 4-10 months old. This is normal. Some dogs adult coats will be darker than their puppy coats and some will turn out lighter. Your best bet is to ask your breeder what is normal for his/her puppies.
