Well my 11 month old pooch started limping a Little bit on Wednesday. Seemed to go away. On Friday I took her for a short bike ride. During the ride I noticed that she was limping on her front left leg. I took her to the vet. The Vet manipulated her leg but could not find the exact cause of the pain. I had her take xrays which came back fine. She is still limping but is putting some wait on her leg. I know its only been two days of no off lease walking but I still worry. Hopefully she will heal quick. One quick question Do dogs have ACL on the front legs? Or are there knees only on the rear??
Thanks for any info

I don't think so....(to getting ACL on the front legs)....but I am definitely NOT a doc of any sort :)

Orson had a limping problem on his front leg about 6 weeks ago. The Vet could find absolutely nothing wrong with it. She prescribed 227mg of Previcox (anti-inflammatory) once a day for ten days, with limited exercise.

Animals can twist and turn, come down wrong, and bunches of things just like us. She said it was more than likely a sprain or strain of some kind.

He was better within days........and it hasn't returned so far.
