Hi guys! OK this might be kind of an odd question, but maybe someone can help me. My dog, Jesse, will, at random moments, start licking her, um..., butt hole.. SHould I take her to the vet? Or is it just normal? She does this a lot, as if its itchy or something... PLEASE HELP! Thanks!

Well it is fine if they lick them, that's how they keep it clean. If it is way too much like it is irritating her then yes I would have the vet check her. I am worried it could be her anal glands are bothering her. Does she drag her butt on the floor often?

Pretty normal activity, unless it is because it is itching her and she has worms.

She drags her bum on the ground at least once a day, and she is constantly licking or biting her anal area, and she is very much constipated. Thanks for your help!

She needs to have her anal glands emptied... As for the constipation.. see a vet. Ok, well, for both as you probably don't know how to empty her anal glands. The vet can show you.
