After desexing...any tips?

Our little Portuguese Water Dog is being desexed this weekend. I've been told all the things we need to do (no bathing or excercise for 2 weeks etc), but does anyone have any tips? We have another little pup who can be a bit rough with her so we're watching out for that. But is there anything else I can do to aid her recovery (aside from lots of TLC!)?

Alls I can think of is keep the area clean and don't let her lick it or chew at her stitches. I never had any problems with my pets after they were altered, she will be okay.....The extra TLC will help to! Good luck and WELCOME to Chaz!!
