Cant get pic in gif or jpg format

Well, the title is pretty self explanatory. I have a pic that I need to resize in order to get it to be my avatar. I went to resize2mail.com, but it says the pic needs to be in gif or jpg format. Can someone help me out please?

wow, this is getting frustrating. I put a pic of peanut in my signature, but its not showing up. It only shows when I click on my name. Any advice?

I use faststone..I downloaded it from Downloads.com

Thanks, I just downloaded the program, do you know how to cut a part of the pic out, and paste it to another pic? I used to make some funny pics with another one of my programs a while back, but I forgot how.

hmmm..I use photoshop for all that fun stuff..which again i downloaded from downloads.com (trial) im not sure how to do it with that program..Id have to play with it!
