So I got a miniature pinscher, and I've had him for about 3 weeks.
The skin around his mouth and his eyes are dry and scaley, and it is what I believe to be ringworm, from what I've researched.
I've been treating him with Apple Cider Vinegar, spraying his body and diluting it with water and dampening his dry areas of the face. His apetite and his energy have not changed at all. He is basically normal, other than his dry, scaley mouth and eyes.
I just wanted to know if there were any other herbal remedies and if he even has what looks to be ringworm.
See the picture below, I've done this for about 2 days now, it seems to have gotten a bit better.

also, I forgot to add that there isn't any ring shape or anything at all.
it's just dry, scaly skin.

Take him to a vet. There is something very, very wrong with that puppy and he needs medical attention.

Definately take your puppy to the vet and get a skin scrap done.
Let us know how it turns out!!

Demodectic mange perhaps? Doesn't look like any ringworm I've seen!

I got my persian cat from a cattery where ringworm can run rampant as well as upper respiratory infections. Not only did my kitty have ringworm but I ended up getting it along with my other cat  It is not a fun thing to have and you and your pet both need rounds of antibiotics to get rid of it as well as special creams............Good luck and update us :)

Our girl Phoebe got ringworm from my sisters new kitten, cat was stray and no one knew it had ringworm until it was too late and others were infected (vacation to Arkansas) Phoebe just wouldn't keep her nose out of the cats behind!
It didn't look like that..........but we caught and treated ASAP......perhaps that is what it looks like in advanced stages??
Hope you have good news to share with us. He really is a cute little fella :)

That looks more like demodex IMO (especially since it very often presents around the eyes like in your pups case). A better dianosis would be a yeast infection as it often presents around the mouth as well due to the dog chewing all over.
However, this dog needs a skin scrape to check for demodex, scabies, & to have a fungal culture done.

What became of the vet?
That doesn't look like ringworm at all to me. Generally it's in a ringish form and is accompanied by hair loss, not dry/scaly skin.
You could try putting him under a black light. Ringworms fluoresce green about half the time. It's not a full proof method but it does work about half the time. Pretty neat.

I'll never forget the day we had a client come in with her cat to have it tested for ringworm. It had a very suspicious area on the ear, on the left front leg, & the tail, so we broke out the blacklight to have some fun. You should've seen the look on my face & the vet's face when the owner's arms lit up like a UFO.:D
