Question about Neuter.

Bailey was neutered today and had his Hernia fixed.

He never had an Op before so i'm not sure what to expect from him.
I would think that being lethargic and "Off" of food and water is normal?

He is shaking quite alot...do you know if this is normal?
I am not sure and until i know i will worry LOL, i could phone the vets, but i don't want to sound neurotic LOL

when I had Whiskey done he did that too. I gave him a blanket and he went to sleep and woke up later on doing much better. He is in a bit of shock. Some react that way. If it worsens you will have to call vet. Some howl like crazy after surgery. Anyway it may have him still a bit on edge so watch him and keep him warm. If he kicks out of a blanket let him.

I will put one over him now..i wasn't too sure if i should or not, so thought it best to wait for a reply :)

*Update* He woke up and gave DH a nice wash :) Then he wanted to go outside and done #2 (with me holding him up LOL)
Then he ate a little food :)

But now he keeps licking the stitches...the Vet didn't give me an e-collar and didn't mention stopping him if he tried to lick the area.
But...I don't think that he should be licking there, should he?
