Transportation? ACD from OH to CT

An adoption of an Australian Cattle Dog at my shelter is under way. This person is located in CT and willing to adopt, but we are trying to work out some kind of transportation. This would need to happen the first week of May after the 2nd.

I myself am very much ignorant on the details and procedures of rescue and transportation.

If anyone can help, has any info, knows any names that could be useful.. how to even start to arrange anything like this.. it'd be greatly appreciated.

**Update**

Another success story! Formally known as Woody, Chance the young male ACD is on his way to his forever home in CT!! I'm ecstatic. So pleased with the home this little man has found. :D
