Okay Sandra's dog has had a few heat cycles. She is showing the dog in confirmation right now, then going for her cd cdx. What ever that means!
Now the dog has had 4 seasons or heat cycles, 3 of them 5 months apart, and the last one 13 months apart. Is that normal?
Just a learning question nothing more!

Well every one! Sandra has decided to have Nicki fixed. I feel that's a great decision. One concern she does have is this!
Will she be able to continue showing the dog if she is fixed? Any assistance would be great!

No, she will not be able to show in the conformation ring with a spayed dog, but she will still be able to compete in obedience. Actually, if there are no plans on breeding the dog and she's done in the conformation ring, then it is best to spay her for the obedience ring. Bitches in season cannot trial in obedience, so trying to plan trials around seasons can be a bit of a pain.
