Mortimer our foster was supposed to get neutered today-god do I want this dog neutered!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Since we have had him we have not put him in a cage since he has some severe cage issues and seperation anxiety. We started working on this the other day and he was ok but one of the times we left him in he went all over himself and was jsut going nutts.

this was maybe four days ago and his poop has gone form pure licquid to normal solid back to licquid. today it was jsut kind of a mess.

So the vet said to bring him in anyway-if it was bad they wouldn't do the neuter.

well I guess it was bad-he got some med to coat his stomach but they coudln't figure out why he was having it. Apparently they tested for what could be causing it and he said the med was the best route because they couldn't find anything.

Once he firms up we call to reschedule but I want his poop back to normal like yesterday.

I started giving him some pumpkin. But I really think its jsut stress from the cage.

Any ideas?

We got him maybe about two months ago. he has been on kirklands since then-really helped his skin and his poop has been great till now.

Poor Mortimer. I hope he feels better soon. Might it be containment phobia? Some dogs can't stand being caged or crated.

Nerves could be causing it. He's had quite a few changes in his life lately.
