My ten year old lab has injured her knee. At this point the intial consult is that she needs do have a wire or surgical wire implanted to stabalize her knee. My understanding is that as in humans the worse of this is the recovery period. Appreciate any information as to options . Thanks

My dog CJ had ACL surgery 7 years ago and if you go to this question and go to answer #5, you will see what the vet had me do. She came through with flying colors and never had a problem with the knee after. I had her on glucosamine/chondroitin once this surgery was done.
