The people who just bought the house next door to me have an Irish Terrier named "Keegan". He's a sweetie. I was just wondering if anyone here had one??

Don't have one, but one comes in occassionally to board. Not a bad little dog, has that deep red that seems to be prevalent in the Isles.

Very familiar with them. Showing a very nice boy right now. Reccommend you look up The Irish Terrier Club of Americas' site. A lot of useful information and descriptions about the breed there. Also, look up Geordan Irish Terriers and Baystone ITs' sites. These are the Irishs' I'm most familiar with and there will be some fun pictures and info on their sites, as well. They're a lot of dog, not for everyone, but great companions with appropriate training.

Yes... my own and some clients "for fun". I enjoy starting dogs and showing locally. When it's time to really campaign them they go off to a handler that can travel. My boarding kennel has me tied to the property most of the month. And I really don't move around a ring like I used to after an injury 2 yrs. ago. My gate's more like the rolling O.E.S. now. Lol. I've handled smooth Collie, Boxer, Am Staff., Flat Coat ret., Sheltie, Pulik, Border terrier, Akita, Rhidgeback, Westie, Irish terrier and Dobie.

Actually, I am the proud owner of a female IT! She's almost 2 years old, and is a wonderful dog, although certainly not for everyone, LOL. They are very active, very intense, but very devoted. There is nothing "middle of the road" about the IT - they're an all or nothing kind of dog, LOL!
