Anybody remember me? Anyway we have been thinking about adopting a puppy sometime in the future. But it's been along time since we had one. We'd like to get one around the age when they quit nipping, I've been guessing about 3 months or so. Does that sound right?
I do!
How about a not-so-much puppy? Like a 3-4 year old female black lab? Great with kids, no aggression at all, even with food. ;)

When we have been talking ( me and hubby) we agreed it would be a puppy we get so we know what has or hasn't happened with it. It's just since Maggie's bite we're alot warier about these things. Even though we raised Carey from a puppy, I just really hate myself that I let them play rough, it was all my fault.Your lab sounds great though, hope you find him a good home
Oh Peach, you aren't still blaming yourself over that, are you? I seriously doubt it was because you let Carey and your hubby play rough...without knowing who her parents were, it's impossible to tell what might have been in her genetics.
I hope you find a good puppy!

Yeah I do blame myself, Carey and Maggie played rough too. We just never had a dominant dog before and I didn't think about the consequences. I have pics in Maggie's scrapbook of them playing like that, I can't bear to look at them any more, I have been thinking of taking them out. Thanks Grammy, it's good to be back. I missed everyone. I just needed some time. And my lil one keeps me up alot so I haven't had much time for the computer, hope to have more now.
