Kahlua had her first full check up today. She has a bit of a respiratory infection and is going to have to have 3 maybe 4 teeth pulled as well as a complete cleaning. He thought he heard a bit of a heart murmur but due to congestion unsure. She will go back in after completing the antibiotics and we will go from there. Right now I am not to worried about any heart condition because the other things can cause that type of problem so that will be a wait and see thing. I feel so bad that she has to have the teeth removed though. I knew that when I first saw her, I noticed bad teeth but went ahead with the adoption. Chances are that you are not going to get 100 % healthy from a shelter but she is 100% pure love and that means more to me. Just thought I would let all know about her health and also let you know I will do what ever it takes to give her the life she deserves. The little sap stole my heart.

Kahlua definitely found a good mommy to take care of her. I hope she feels better soon.

Almost the exact same thing happened when I got Amos...4 teeth and a murmur and he's just a little spitfire. I'm so glad that she has you and Whiskey..and her extended two and four legged family. What ever comes from here on, life will be wonderful for Kahlua.:)

She has likely played herself sick. She seems so happy, like she hasn't gotten to do any fun stuff before. That is a very sweet girl who was overjoyed at petsmart. I understand she rummaged through the squeaky toys like a kid in a candy store. Oh fun and happy day.

She did. I took her to petsmart for a treat after her vet visit and she was picking balls out of the bins. She tested them for squeakiness content lol. Then she went up to anyone and everyone bopping them with it and wanting them to throw it. The employees at petsmart were playing with her and having (pardon pun) a ball. Customers were watching and getting a big kick out of the show.
Daddy got the news about her little problems last night and hugged her and said to me " do what ever it takes" . He is a big marshmallow too. She is so worth going the extra mile for.
