I have a chihuahua and over the last few months I have noticed that her stomache is turning darker in some spots almost to a gray brown color. She is just a little over a year old. Is this normal or could there be a problem?

As some dogs mature, their pigment can change. Is she spayed? If not, did she recently have a heat cycle? My pug Alice had her pigment change just after her first heat.

As long as there is no hair loss, rash or itchy skin I wouldn't be too concerned. Sometimes skin can chage as a result of allergy, but there would be other signs too, like itching etc.

I agree. I think it's just pigmentation changes. It happened to my dog too.
