Why when I take Caiza out to poop in my yard he poops once and it is always firm. But when we go for long walks and hike in the woods he feels as though he has to poop multiple times (about three) :rolleyes: When he does it on our walks it also starts out firm but then the more he goes the mushier it gets :yikes: Is there such thing as over excited pooping :lol-sign:

My dog would do the exact same thing! He would go right before we left, so I'm like oh I don't have to bring a poop bag. then we go out and he poops three more times and it gets mushier and mushier. I think he poops first on the walk out of habit, and then because he smells other dog's poop and must leave his own. It was annoying too when it was too mushy to pick up people will think I'm leaving his poop all over the place and give me looks, or I'd run out of bags, I'd bring two thinking I was all prepared and nope he goes even more! I'm glad to hear this happens to someone else (although not happy that you must go through it :p )
Oski just did that today for the first time too! We were at the park and he was playing with another dog there and he pooped three times, the first being firm and the other two were mushy pieces...I guess it could be from excitement and territorial marking.

i think the walk just gets there stuff moving or something
Aubrey does that...I guess they're cleaning themselves out? Sawyer will pee everywhere, but usually one poops once or twice. Virgo just runs around.

Nice to know that my dog is normal :lol-sign: It just never fails that everytime we get lost in the woods hiking that he goes 3 or 4 times on the course of the trails :rolleyes: Here I was thinking its always his food that is giving him issues. Ever since I switched him from Evo RM to Timberwolf organics his stool is finally firm again so when I seen him going again and again today I started to worry :p D@m poopy dawgs :lol-sign:

My dog always has perfect stools ... except when he goes to dog school. First of all, he poops at home & wouldn't ordinarily poop at all during the hour he is at dog school but he always has to go in their exercise area. It is always just a little more loose than his normal stools at home.
When he was in his early stages in obedience classes, he'd have to poop 2 times before class started. The 2nd was more loose than the first.

Manni is the exact same way. Around the neighborhood he's very regular and normal consistency. But anytime we go to the woods he's diarrhea central. We assumed it was because he gets so excited. I'm glad to hear that it's normal. :)
Mine does so on long walks in the city. She sometimes goes twice for walks more than an hour.
