I recently did a project in a course where I had to make a movie poster. I made mine as a documentary on the current state of the American Pit Bull Terrier. At first, it was just the idea of the poster, and passing with a good mark. However, now, I'm starting to get a strong interest in pursuing an actual documentary, with help from owners, enthusiasts, ethical and responsible breeders, and delve into the core reasons why some people dislike them and similar breeds.

Before I do that, I really want to start off with a short movie (to play with my editing skills, since I am wanting to pursue a career along these lines) and I was wondering if any of the misunderstood breed owners (and beyond!) would mind if I used their dog(s) for this. I'd only need a couple of pictures, and a little bit of cooperation.:D
I'm doing this as a freelance project, in response to some harsh views directed at my previous project, supporting a good APBT image. A few people talked badly, only after they found out what APBT stood for:rolleyes: and gave some extremely misinformed information to me! I'm not sure why they were trying to educate me on a breed I hold near and dear to my heart, but either way, I believe these individuals are genuinely misinformed.

Any help is appreciated immensely, and I'll give photo credit if you'd like or don't mind. :) The good owners deserve to be recognized just as much as the dogs IMO.

Basically, any photos of anyone's dogs here I'm sure would be fine. I am sure everyone here is a responsible owner, so any action shot, or shots with children, sleeping, playing, eating, anything!
I'm also searching for a song to go along with this, but I'll know more about what I want regarding then once I get some pictures set up.

I was wondering, what program/software do some of you people use to make videos with music and slideshows and such? I would love to actually make one myself, but can't figure out what to use for it...I'm pretty good with the computer, but I've never done that kind of multimedia work before..I'm more of a photoshop nerd. So yes, what do you guys use?

Pitbulliest - I've used Windows Movie Maker to make all the vids I've done. Its pretty easy to get the hang of, especially with slideshows. Drag and drop your pictures, drag and drop your music, so on and so forth. :)

I'm still in need of more images (specifically, now I'm looking for Pit Bulls with people! Owners, kids, etc).
But have a question about public images...are the images listed in galleries on public open webpages up for grabs as well? Or can those not be used?

Just an FYI. When I was making a community-assisted video, I just browsed forum galleries and then PMed the people whose pics I liked. I must have contacted scores of people, and only a few didn't respond. One wanted to know what I had in mind, but did let me use the pic after I explained. Its a great way to get specifically the pics you want to use without having people bombard you with pics on a thread. (I also credited the name of every dog in the vid at the end. Folks thought that was pretty cool. :D)
