Eeek, those are the worst colors I've ever seen. But that's just my opinion. ;)

Cute but weird.... Looks like an odd dye job like some of the girls get at the School where I teach at.

It looks like seal gone crazy. At first I wondered what the two puppies had on their heads.

Oh my god that is TOO funny! Their really cute but I don't know I think I would feel a little embarrassed to be walking around with a dog that looked liked they got in a fight with a can of spray paint :D ;)!

Did someone spill bleach on them? it doesn't say why they're up for adoption. Were they removed from an abusive home?

It's the flash and lighting.
Friend's black cats often show weird shades of brown/orange in photographs.

As a photographer, I'd have to disagree. If it was the flash/lighting turning a black dog (the 2 on the outside look brown to me) weird colors, then the one in the middle would be weird as well.

Although I won't disagree that the flash/lighting could intensify the color difference.

I didn't say that quite right.
The two pups with the odd coloring most likely have a hint of brown in their coats. The pup in the middle most likely does not. I would bet dimes to dollars that if seen in person the color of the two pups on the outside would not have such odd coloring but instead of looked at closely would show some hint of brown/chocolate/etc.

Wow, what? Thats crazy! Lol I thouhght they had a scarf draped over them! Maybe its just a wierd camera/light combo? They will be hard to lose, anyway!

There were similar pictures like this floating around the internet. Can't remember if it was cats or dogs though.

I would think shelter employees would be too busy to play with a photo of a pet for adoption. Maybe it is just a diluted coat color.

Aww, they aren't there anymore. I really wanted to see. :(
What did they look like??

They were dark chocolately-colored pups, who looked like they dipped thier heads in a paint can. Their ears and heads were like a reddish-orange color. It was bizarre but the pups looked adorable and sweet. :)

I think the dogs hair may have been dyed. We had a miniature poodle at the shelter that looked just like that, dark brown with yellow ears. Turned out the owner had the dogs hair dyed to look just like hers. It was actually kind of cute.

They weren't dyed! Good grief. You could see from the photos that it is natural with the normal looking pup in the middle even having some gold tint to him. And it is not camera flash. Just accept some wierd genetics going on. :)
