This is Sage, one of our shelter dogs. We aren't quite sure how to classify her, so she is down as a shepard mix right now. She is large, about 60 lbs, with long legs and a very deep chest. Her face is also very long, but much more slender then that of a shepard.
Her coat is slightly thicker then that of a boxer or pit bull, but no where near that of a shepard. It's length is similar to a hound, but it is not oily.
I can try to get some side pictures of her this weekend. I am leaning toward her having some doberman do to her body shape and face. I have heard smooth collie, but I have never seen a single smooth collie in our area in more than 8 years. Still a possibility though.
What do you guys think?

PS. Someone around NC just knows they want to adopt the most perfect dog in the world don't they? She is smart, has some obedience and housetraining and would make someone an excellent therapy dog. Good with other dogs, cats and kids. If I wasn't in college, I would take her in a heartbeat.
