Ok, here is the deal.
www.aarrff.org (http://www.aarrff.org/) has agreed to help a boy called Roman. Problem is she only has outdoor runs available at the moment, and when she brought him back to aarrff Roman promptly ate his way out of 2 of her runs.
This boy can not be in a run no way, he eats chain link as a hobby As far as I know he has not been crated much. He is a smooshy velcro dog.
So the person who found him took him home again, however she will only give him till the end of next week, then he goes to Linn County AC, THIS IS A DEATH SENTENCE, as soon as they walk in the door.
Here is what Ladylaw wrote about him, bear in mind this is a person who like myself does not do pits, and actually has some fear of them.

We have 5 days ppl and thats it!!!

PLEASE FOLKS SAVE THIS BOY, LL is willing to transport out of state as a last resort. Roman is currently in Oregon.

Yep, I certifiably LOVE this dog!!! Who would have thought. OMG, he really is one of the NICEST dogs that I have EVER met! He is more loving and gentle than 3 of my 4 dogs!!! True confessions: if it wasn't for my Skylar Mylar I WOULD adopt him for myself!!! That is how much I love this dog.

He has the MOST beautiful eyes that I have EVER seen - they are this beautiful light mocha color. He is small in stature -maybe 30 pounds? The vet guesstimated him at 6 - 9 months of age. As I told you, we just had him neutered and rabies vac'd. He can have his other shots any time (they didn't want to do them all on the same day). He is still on his ivormectin treatments, but his hair is already growing back in!

He has been staying with the woman who found him. He has been living indoors with 3 small children and 3 dogs: a PitBull, a Mastiff and a Doberman. I believe all of them were male, but I can check. He is reported to be completely housebroken. He would stay in a crate for short periods - I think a few hours or so, with no problems. He did not push their outdoor fence, although he was not left out there for long periods or without his dog buddies. He rode very well in my car. The worst habit, that was reported, was chewing up the little 18 month old child's toys! I saw him in this home environment off-leash in an unenclosed front yard with many people around and the toddler with him!

If you can think of anything to help ROMAN I would be so appreciative. She is going to take him to Linn County Dog Control....well, you know what that means. He will die. I will do anything to avoid that. He is such a GREAT dog!

I will attach a few pictures of him from a couple of weeks ago - prior this neutering!

Awww...All I could suggest is to contact local pit bull rescues, and even ones farther away. Most are full but you could try..

Good luck to you. He is very handsome..

PS-Pit bulls arent scary, most of the time they are just like this guy, mushy teddy bears :)

ETA-where is he located? I can cross post...

Are you sure they're willing to transport him to another state? If they are I'm currently located in NYC and I can probably find a good home for him.

I wish I could, we do not currently have any dogs and he would be great except we have cats and Pits are terriers and not good with cats :( plus my dad hates Pitbulls (i love them though) And I live in MA. Is there any place they can take her that is not a kill shelter (like a rescue?) Poor baby :(

If this dog is able to be transported please let me know immediately. I do not want this poor pit to be put down. If Roman can't be transported contact your local NON-KILL shelters and pit rescue groups. Do you have an aspca or spca?

Hi there... as he's in Oregon, please contact Perrin or Ginger, at Gingers Pet Rescue. They network with all of the agencies and shelters' (including Linn Co.) in Washington and Oregon and will be able to quickly tell you if one of them has a temp. foster home before Friday. If not one in Oregon, their volunteers often make trips to Oregon with just 24 hrs notice. Good luck!

Sorry, meant to say they'll have a network to move him to foster here (WA.) if needed.

I was told that they would bring Roman to me!! I'm writing back to them right now.

The rescue said they would transport him as a LAST resort as any dog transport is a logistic nightmare. As I already posted, it now looks as though Roman has a foster placement in Oregon which is a far better option than transporting him 3000 miles. Although your offer to take him is much appreciated I know.

willing to transport out of state as a last resort.

I just recently realized they're in Oregon, so I sent them some rescue groups in Oregon. At least he has a foster home.
