Not really a rescue..but didnt know where to put it..
i saw on tv awhile back where a woman had a little dog and took it to the hospitol and let it visit cancer patients..any1 seen that??
I was thinking along the same lines, but in an old folks home..and use a tiny dog like a pom or yorkie...???
Does anyone have any opinions?? Would the staff go for it? Would it be a hit..?

It's called having a therapy dog, shouldnt be in the rescue section though.

You might want to put it in the "discussion" forum. I think there are quite a few therapy dogs on here. They can tell you how to get involved.

I also know our local humane society takes dogs to nursing homes (as did our local kill shelter on Christmas eve). Our HS told me that once I went a couple times, I could go on my own & take my dogs. Of course, it would be better to get certified first.
