I hate this organization....God do I ever hate these guys. Which moron brought this THING into existence in the first place?
Anyways, I wrote a nice letter to them recently:

Your website and promotion of mixing breeds to create a new one is irresponsible. There are far too many dogs in shelters as it is, and you are only adding to the problem.
Mixed breed dogs are wonderful, but should not be encouraged to be bred! These dogs cannot be tested genetically, and do not have confirmation standards, and therefore there is no BEST IN SHOW...hence, there is no superior model to compare stock to...this is very important when breeding dogs...they MUST conform to standards...only that way are you ensuring that you are breeding the best of the best..
breeding should not be done for money...or because you want to create a new breed (another fad dog)...this is irresponsible and besides the entire point of breeding. Breeding should be done in order to BETTER THE BREED AS A WHOLE...
Mutts are not a breed..they are the byproduct of greedy backyard breeders that don't give a rat's ass about what happens to the puppies, about the health of the litter...etc.
Due to the fact that "hybrids" are a combination of two separate breeds, you can never guarantee temperament, genetic health, etc....
not that hybrid breeders would even bother to properly health test their dogs anyways...there are not even enough generations to trace back genetic defaults - hence they cannot be bred out of future litters. In a mutt, NOTHING is guaranteed...
Promoting this kind of irresponsible breeding is disgusting..believe it or not, your breeders and organization as a whole is adding to the problem of dog overpopulation...you are not doing the world a favor..you are create more pain!
I will be sure to pass this website along to every dog forum I am a part of to let them know that such a disgusting organization exists. I will also be putting a link to this website, along with a few comments of my own, on my personal website - which may I remind you, is all about responsible breeding and ownership!
