eye gunk

my friend asked me to right a question about her dogs eye gunk. Her dog seems too always have eye gunk and she wipes it away but it comes back within the day. It gets stuck to her fur and dries on and she was wondering if this is normal to have alot of gunk and if there is any product to clean it off and keep it from building up. She said it was a greenish color.

Duke had this and it was an eye infection. He was given an antibiotic cream to put in the eye and within a few days it was all cleared up. Green usually means theres and infection. Tell your friend to go to the vet.
