I can't find the link to the story but while watching the news last night a story came on about a small dog that was spotted running down Toronto's subway tracks.
A few pedestrians jumped onto the track to save the little guy while others kept out on lookout and for listen for the train. It turned out the little guy's owner had dropped him off at a doggie day care for the day while out shopping and according to the managment, he had escaped when another lady came to pick up her dog and opened up the door.
They said they attempted to chase after the little guy but lost him, which seems a bit strange as I'm sure a person would have no problem chasing down a shitzu/bichon type dog?
The owner returned to pickup her dog only to be told he was gone.
In the end owner and dog were reunited:).
Really makes you believe in people again eh. We had a similar story a year ago where someones 6 foot boa constrictor escaped and ended up on the go train tracks and someone actually jumped down to save him:).
