What a cute story. It reminds me what happened with my aunt's chihuahua, Gracie, Lola's mom. My aunt's neighbor's Chihuahua had puppies, and one day while the puppies were still very young, she was hit by a car in front of their house. All the other puppies except for Gracie died soon after this. It just so happened that my aunt's cat had just had kittens and was still nursing them. My aunt suggested to the neighbor that maybe the cat would take Gracie in as one of her own and sure enough she did. Gracie was raised as a cat, and even acts a lot like a cat. I'm still not really sure that she's fully aware that she's a dog. lol
