i'm so proud!!

today i took a walk with Milo, Benji, my little brother, and my grandmother.

Milo heeled for the entire (fairly lengthy) walk!!

i guess i just wasn't patient enough, and that my method was pretty good. i tried talking to him as we were walking, telling him to "watch me" and "by my side". i am so so so so so proud of him!!

Congratulations! (Did you try the exercises I reccommended?) It really is rewarding for owners to see training pay off and it motivates you to continue and do even more. (Which leads to a very happy dog!)

Yeah Milo!!! That's terrific. Are you asking him to heel as in perfectly? Or just a loose (walk by your side aproximately thing)? Heeling exactly perfectly for a long ways is very hard to do. Anyhow...sounds like your hard work and tenacity is paying off. Keep us posted! Congrats!
