Needing advice

I am needing some advice on the best way to introduce my 6 week old doxie to a 5 month old shar-pei.
I've tried twice now - but each time the doxie bites (snaps aggressively) at the shar-pei (you'd think it would be the other way around). Then it kinda ticks the shar-pei off and he starts heavily mouthing the puppy.

Any ideas or suggestions? I'm worried that I'll have these two great dogs who can't hang. :(
