can anyone give me a list of commands a dog should learn. My dog know sit, come, stay, paw, leave it, lie down, off (people or furnisher), i want to also teach him drop it but i'm having trouble because i can't make him pick up a toy in the first place. If he has a toy in his mouth a get a treat and he drops the toy and i say drop it and give him the treat but then he will not pick the toy up again! So advice on that would be helpful too. So what other commands should i teach him. I really like to train him but i feel i have run out of thing to train although i'm sure that's not true.

If you play with a toy will your pup come to get it? Does he likes balls instead? If the dog comes for whatever you are holding that could be the first step in teaching him to go get whatever.
Really what you teach is up to you and what you find useful.
Cider's gotta know 50-75 commands by now, but some are agility, and some are useful to us but would serve no purpose to others, you know?

That is all I can think of now :o
