Putting pic'c in your signature..Help!

And also what size does it need to be so it dont take a lot of space? I want to put all three dogs in the signature. and the cat too. I went the photo bucket site,but do not know what size i should be sizeing them.

First, upload the picture onto a site like www.photobucket.com (you can get a free account). Once the photo is uploaded, there will be three boxes, one of which will have the image (IMG) code. Copy that and then paste it into your signature.

If the photo is too large, photobucket will resize it by itself. Or, once it's uploaded, you can copy it, go into a program like Paint, paste the picture, resize it, save it, upload it to photobucket, and then put the code in your sig.

Photobucket can't accept my sigs, says it's invalid format?

Are they saved as .JPG or .GIF? It has to be a valid jpg, gif, png, bmp, or swf file to be accepted.

They all say jpg, I don't understand what I'm doing wrong. Is there any way to get sigs in without using photobucket or something like it?

You might need to save them again and try to upload them again. I've had that happen to me before, I can't tell exactly why it does it.

There is www.tinypic.com, I've never used it, so I don't know if it's good or not, but people I know that use it say it's good.

Okay talk to me like I'm 5 and tell me how to do this! I right click on the sig and hit save pic as, then it has two options save as type ART or Bitmap.

ok i followed the instructions and it only gave the link to my pic but i would like the actual pic to be in the sig.

You need it to be the IMG code. Like before the link and then after the link.

okay saved them on bitmap but when I try to load in onto photobucket says pic required :confused: When I look at my saved images, the sig has no pic, just a piece of paper with a purplw ball in front of it. Does this make a difference? When I open it, it comes on my screen. I was thinking maybe it is listed under read only files? :confused:

Hmm...I don't know. I've had it say "picture required" before also, what I've done is just try again and if that doesn't work, resave the pic.

If that doesn't work, you can use the IMG from mine if you'd like, LOL. Photobucket is weird at times.... :confused:

Ok, now how do you make your signature smaller, my pics are HUGE!!! I tried to make the picture smaller at the photobucket.com but then they wouldn't work in my signature. I'm really confused.

I usually resize pictures in a program like regular Paint. I paste the picture I want from my files, resize it, then upload it into my photobucket account.

an img code just stands for image. You just put pictureaddressthingy around your image to get it to show up on the forum.

Ok...now I want to put a few pics on my sig. When I am in paint and want to resize the pictures, how small should I make them so they're not too big? What I have stored in "My Pictures" is where I go. I don't use Photo Bucket. I just go straight from my file to here when I post a picture. They're already re-sized for putting on regular posts, but I think they should be smaller. What amount of percentage do you think it should be compared to this? And what percentage less should I make them if I wanted to put 2 or 3 pictures under my sig? Thanks in advance!
