This happened just outside of London where I live :(

Kind of surprised this made the news since there weren't any Pit Bulls involved in the seizure. ;-)

That's a new land speed record for dragging pit bulls into a completely unrelated thread:rolleyes:
A lion. Eh, I thought only Americans were goofy enough to own inappropriately large and wild animals. There's a side to Canadians I haven't seen before.

Not unrelated. I thought that Pit Bull ban was supposed to solve all of Ontario's problems.

I'm sorry, but I'm having a hard time understanding this logic. You say the citizens of Ontario were A) told that eliminating pit bulls would solve all their problems and B) believed it?

As an unrelated topic I will just say that there is a breed ban for any new pitt bulls in ontario. It has been discussed on here before if you do a search or you can pm me for more info so we do not hijack the thread.

I don't need info -- I was one of the many trying to fight it from another country -- and I wasn't trying to hijack. I just made an inoccuous, ironic comment that was evidently unwelcome. My bad.

Aaah, you didn't know about the lion ban? And why do we continuously have to bring goofy Americans into everything? ;)
I'm kidding...I am interested to know more about these folks who managed to even get their hands on a lion and other wild animals (was this supposed to be a reserve I wonder?)...much less neglect them. If anyone has any updates please share.
Bahamutt- Dante just sent you a big wet smooch. (You may not recognize him on this thread- he's masquerading as my east egyptian three-legged grasshopper right now. He's in disguise.) :D

I had a friend who woke up after a week end of partying to find a lion in his apartment. He couldn't remember buying a lion and didn't know where it came from and wasn't to thrilled to be sharing an apartment with a lion. He called the pound, they called the zoo. The zoo came and got it and my friend let them have it. It was a young male about a year old.

That would be quite frightening.
