Our puppy is 3 months old. Crate training and overall houstraining are going great. Except for one problem. He continuously pees in his bed! I've always heard that dogs won't pee where they sleep. But he does it over and over again. Even right after going outside. He also pees on his toys. My husband thinks maybe he is just trying to mark his territory. But is it normal for a puppy to do this? How can we get him to stop? I wash his bedding every day. I've washed it in hot water, double rinsed, and used odor neutrilizers, and he still continues to pee on it all.
Any ideas or suggestions? Has this topic been discussed anywhere else where i can read what others had to say about it?

Where did you get the puppy? Is he used to peeing where he sleeps?
3 months old sounds a little young for a dog to be marking, especially inside. Have you tried using Nature's Miracle (enzymatic) to neutralize the pee spots?
How are you house training your dog? Does he get enough chances to go outside and go to the bathroom?
Have you taken him to a vet to rule out any medical problems?

We got the puppy from our friends. He was from a litter of 6. They stayed in a petbed in the house. I don't know if they were used to peeing right where they were, or if they were taken to a spot.
We brought him to our home at 6 weeks old. I'm at SAHM so i'm here all day to work with him. He gets plenty of time to go outside. As I said, overall house and crate training are going very well. The only problem he has is continuously peeing in his bed. When he needs to poop, he always barks to let me know. And when he is out of his crate, he'll usually go to the door when he needs to pee. But if he is in the crate, he'll never make any signs he needs to pee, he'll just go whereever he is. Usually I don't see when it happens, i can just smell it. But I watched him one day. He was asleep, he woke up, stood up, peed right where he was, then layed right back down and went back to sleep. I thought it might be a crate issue, but he has done the same thing when he wasn't in his crate (peeing right where he sleeps when he has a whole room to wander). He has a stuffed animal that he plays/sleeps with and I have caught him several times peeing on it.
Sounds gross to me, but maybe the scent is somehow comforting to him?
I haven't asked the vet about it yet, so I guess that is my next option.

Ask your vet about it.

That's the best I can find. Hopefully RedyreRottweilers will see this.

I know Nature's Miracle comes in detergent to use in the washer. You might want to try washing his bed and toys with it to make sure all the smell comes out.

Everyone thinks Nature's Miracle is the best product. I tend to disagree. I used this from the very beginning, follow the instructions to the T and my puppy still peed in the exact same spot I had cleaned up from.
