We took our baby yorkie girl to the groomers on Saturday, the same groomer she's gone to for 2 years. Well, since coming home on Saturday she has been licking and biting down there and spreading her legs to sit in the cold grass. We thought it was because she was shaved too close but when we looked at it her actual private part is really red.. Is there anything I can put on it?

It's probaby red from her licking it. I'd be real careful what you put on it since she will most likely lick it off. Might be a good idea to go ahead and take her on to the vet and have them check. The red tootie may just be an underlying symptom of another problem.

I agree with Nancy, it may be red from licking, but a visit to the vet is probably a good idea.
It may be something very simple, like a yeast infection, and with a little medicine, she will be feeling better in no time.

Our Lucy had the same issue, could just be irritation from being shaved to close. We gave Lucy a bath, and made sure to thouroughly clean her "area" and she's been fine. :)

if it has been shaved closely it will cause a clipper rash and be itchy so that is probably why she is licking at it if she is straining to urinate take her to the vets many dogs lick there privates do to an infection or crystal in the urine which can easily be treated by the vets
