Dalmatian? Mix?

I've located this lovely dog near home, it looks like he would be a great biking partner. Gotta work on meeting him though ;)

Anyone see the mix? I'm thinking either pointer or just poor bred Dal. The head shape seems a bit off, some hound or pointer? Its also more ticked than spotted, but I'm not sure that its indicative of a mix.

Looks like a Dal mix to me but I dont know anything about pointers.

He isnt a pure bred Dal though for sure. The spots are diluted and the only way they get that way is if they are mixed with something. The ears arent right either for a Dal.

IT will be easier to tell when you get some pictures of him at his new home ;)

Dalmatians have many coat colour types. The spots mean nothing.

There's probably no way to tell what he is for sure though.

I agree, the head shape does look a little off to be a pure Dal. He's also a bit on the large size compared to the Dalmations I've seen.

But yes, he would be an awesome biking partner! Dalmations excel at that. Let us know what you name him. :D

There he looks like a mix...I see some hound, maybe? Or some Curr.
