So it was Holly's second night of puppy preschool and she is ALREADY teacher's pet:) . The border collie is still there but luckily has calmed down a bit and doesn't not attack the dog's as much (she did a little at the beginning of puppy playtime but stopped after awhile). We also have 3 trainers there now to help, instead of just the one and we also expanded by one puppy. The new puppy is just the SWEETEST little guy you will ever meet. He's an australian sheperdXcollie mix and he's deaf. You would never notice though because he acts just like he knows what your saying. Anyway, everytime the teacher went to show the class something she picked Holly as her example. She told me after class that she thought I was doing a wonderful job with Holly and she could tell that I was obviously working with her outside of class because she was already much more advanced than the other puppies:o . Holly can do her come, and sit, command nearly 100%. It is about 99% of the time she will do these commands (while the other puppies rarely do it at all). She was very impressed with Holly and said she would like to use her when she is showing the class how to teach their dog a command. I'm so proud of our Holly I came home and had to call Mark right away to tell him all that happened at puppy preschool (I had to ask about the australian sheperd mix too but ofcourse he said no;) ). I hope Holly keeps up her good work, she'll know just as many tricks as Hannah does in no time.

I'm not surprised, she's a BERNER! In all the puppy classes I have ever done, they are always teachers pet LOL! She's just got a great Mom to reinforce her natural smarts. Good job:)

Thanks :D. She is doing so good though, I am so impressed with how fast she picks up on things. Everyone there just LOVES her and they had to all snuggle and pet her and she loved every minute of it. The only thing that teacher couldn't use her for is to show what to do when a puppy jumps on you (because she doesn't jump). She used to border collie for that one :D. The basset hound and the mix didn't jump on people either. There's suppose to be one more puppy starting next week too. I don't want puppy classes to end!

That's great! Puppy classes are so much fun. Does your training facilty offer puppy post-grad or a next level for puppies? If not, maybe just move her into the next class they offer?

after the puppy classes they have 2 seperate clicker classes than an intro to agility. The woman said that she can help me though because I want to do therapy work with Holly and maybe obedience she said she can do private lessons with me to get her ready to do that.

That's great. You could get her Canine Good Citizen title (CGC) pretty easily and then compete in Rally-O, Competitive Obedience and Agility. Holly would love to have all those titles behind her name! I know she could do it. Berners are so smart and loving.;)

Yup, the trainer is a canine good citizen evaluator as well. So I think I did good picking this lady out.
