Hi.
In the book 'The Dog Whisperer', the author recommends homemade food (of course!), but also says if you can't do that, then mix 3/4 kibble with 1/4 canned. Does anyone else do this? We currently mix 1 1/2 cups Innova with 1/2 cup of Merricks. Annie loves it, but then, she likes just about anything!
Thanks.

Mine are absurdly healthy and thriving on straight Innova EVO.

They do love it when I get rid of leftovers though! :D And they do self-supplement their diets with the odd varmint here and there

I'm a kibble + canned mamma in those exact proportions, more or less. And I mix some really warm water in to make it a bit more soupy. Hunter devours it in about 15 seconds. I keep telling him to SLOW DOWN, it's NOT A RACE!

I do to give my dogs a treat, but I have to make sure they don't choke they eat it all so fast. My dogs give any wet food 4 paws up.

Mine get 3/4 dry and 1/4 wet plus some goodies.

Somtimes I'll decorate Hunter's food (and Eli's when he was here) with pupcorn on top as garni ;)

Having 3 kids I always had food left on plates... I had a dog slop jar and put veggies, the water (full of vitamins) from anything cooked, cereal etc. and divided with the dry into each bowl the next night. I feel guilty when I don't have a "nummie" to add to Chip's now.! Tonight I didn't have anything so added a little cheese and an egg.

Gawd that slop bowl stunk. I remember when I would have "dog duty" to feed and lifted that lid of that bowl, I'd about vomit. But the dogs LOVED IT!
