Well here we have! Chikira:::: A beautiful red sable female with attitude. She sure does not get it from mom and or dad. But gets it from her grand parents and great grand parents. This dog has a lot to offer and boy she will not go any where near a pet home. She would be classified as tooooo much dog for that.

So this is our intentions.

1) start on Ob puppy training
2) Positive reinforcement as to dog aggression. She shows tons of attitude there.
3) loads of ball drive and rag play just to get her busy in the right way.

So if you had a dog with this type of attitude how would you assist me to make sure she goes in the right direction??

I'd definately get a dog like that into some S&R if she has huge drive or the OB/Tracking/Protection in Schutzhund work.

Try and focus her enegery away from the negativeness of something.

But, if she doesn't pass the TT to qualify into that type of work I'd put her into something like agility or even perhaps Flyball.

Hey Summer: You hit it right on the head. This pup is so intense with drive at three months old she can hold her own. She keeps up with the Dob and you know that they can move. Then she takes on the whole litter all the girls any way. Nerves of steal too. I am going to be putting a load of all the above into her. Thanx for your comments. They are greatly appreciated Cindr I will be keeping you all informed

How old is she?
Is she friendly (like if you go out, does she run up to people, or is she indifferent to them)?
Does she have a firm grip?
Prey drive, alot, some, minimal (not too important, if she is still very young)?
What do you mean by 'she shows attitude towards dogs'? Do you mean she barks/growls? Are you sure she doesnt just want to play with them?
Is she handler dependent?
Does she use her nose alot (ie sniffing the ground)?

just a couple of questions :)

Well to answer your questions; This girl is get this 3 months old and has these areas:

1) Out going friendly inching to go

2) Ball and retreive drive going wild

3) Hard bite and hold on the tug

4) VERY DOG AGGRESSIVE> willing to take on the world if she had too. High extreme prey and defense drive

5) Very independent. Goes off on her own searches everything great noise that keeps on ticking

I would definately do Schutzhund with her, if she's already showing a high prey drive. Hondo's didnt start to really comes out until he was like 5 months. I dont know about S&R if she is too dog agressive. Remember the dogs are all together. WOrk on her focus and make her indifferent to other dogs, if that works then try S&R but if she still shows signs of dog agression then go for something different. JMO :D

Yes all of the above. Chikeria has what it takes to do and go somewhere although have to secure during training we do not lose and or take it away from her. She is now getting over her dog aggression. Since I seperated her from the litter.
