Hi

I've read about these two face types in Pomeranians, but can't find pictures of both side by side so that I can see the differences for myself...

Are they real 'types' that one can breed for, or just something which some sellers say? Does anyone here have any pics which show the fox/baby doll differences clearly?

Thanks,
D.

I'm not an expert, but what I think that it is just a type and a characteristic that you breed for. The "doll face" would be the short muzzle with the round looking face, while the "foxy" would have a longer muzzle.

From the illustration on the AKC standard http://www.akc.org/breeds/pomeranian/index.cfm Looks "doll" like to me ...

This is just a random dog, but it looks "foxy" to me ... http://dogs.petwebsite.com/images/pomeranian.jpgv

akc standard calls for a fox like expression.
From what i can tell doll face is a fad term used by some breeders to make their puppies seem cuter...ive also heard "babydoll face" this is also common in yorkies
