I got this while watching the lazer show at Cave of the Winds in Colorado...there was a storm brewing behind the cliff face and I just blindly aimed and hit the button over and over until the show was done. This was the only decent shot.

There were three or four of these guys jumping from flowering weed to flowering weed while I was meandering about the yard. I don't see too many of them around here, though, much less a bunch at one time...it's usually too hot and dry for them to be interested in hanging out here. I thought I should take a few snaps...this is the only decent one, unfortunately.

These, however, are all over the place...like sand. Something old and dead. I thought it looked badass against the old rusty fire wagon, though. I just snapped it real quick...I was chasing flutterbies...but I was really interested in the shot. I love how it turned out.

This one I'm posting smiply because of the dramatic contrast between the background and the blades of my turbine. I made the blades from a mangled stop sign and the reflective material caught the flash but nothing else did. The blades almost look superimposed on the picture.

What I find MOST interesting about this picture is that the exposure was longer than the flash. The blades are moving clockwise, and you can tell by their pitch that's which way they turn, but someone not taking notice of small detail might think the blades are spinning the other way simply bacause of the black shadow that appears to be "following". That shadow is made by the blades after the flash had gone away...

This picture is not molested in any fashion other than resizing.

I love this one...I'm going to use it for a cover art or something some day...or maybe I'll use it for a color contrast when I paper mache my bike in black and white newspaper (yeah I'm going to paper mache it...I'm not one of those yuppies who likes exposed carbon fiber).

I had to tweak the hell out of it because it didn't turn out like I like...originally it had real colors. It is one single exposure, though...the only alterations were to the coloring/brightness.

This one came off the camera this way, just a little brightness/gamma tweaking to make it a bit more red...and it creeps me the f%$k out...

Those are only a FEW of my favorite pictures. I have over 800 pictures of my girls on photobucket, and even more on my hard drive. My dad gets mad over all the pictures on the computer, but I know I won't regret taking them all when they're gone. He used to hassle me about all the pictures I had of Princess, but now that she's passed away, it seems like I don't have nearly enough....:(
