Our 9 month old hound mix (shelter dog - had him for just over a week), loves to lick. I sort of don't mind, but I know that there are friends and family members that will not appreciate our dog licking their arms for 30 seconds straight. And then have him coming back in a few minutes to lick their other arm for another 30 seconds.
What can I do to change this behavior?

Licking is a dog's way of showing his affection. He'll lick those who show affection to him. Those who ignore him won't get as many licks. :D
