That's cool! Are they normally over $500 for a large breed? Or is it because it's better built and has other neat things going for it?

Those models are pricey. You could use marine board with some brackets like for a water bed that the screws come out of without being unscrewed that would make it easier to tear down and store.
Some poeple use those small pools for whelping boxes.
I use plywood that is painted with a rubber base paint so it is easily cleaned.

NEVER go the pool way !!! You need the roll bars or some protection..

That is a very nice box. I looked at it several times when I was making the plans for mine, which my hubby built for me.

You can see photos of mine under the whelping box sticky.

I did use their graduated panels idea for the doorway separating the 2 areas of my box.

Penny is in season as of today. If I breed her on the next season, that means I'm about 8 months away from babies.

Jenn, there are 5 puppies firmly spoken for. (4 show prospects, 1 companion)

That is if I keep only one puppy. If I run on 2 from this litter, that would mean 6 are spoken for.

I am always interested in speaking to interested parties, particularly any who have experience showing or training dogs in the past.

I dont'/won't take deposits until puppies are on the ground and I can sort of tell what I have.

If her intervals hold true she will be in season again around Dec. 15, and of course, probably ready to be bred on Christmas day. (don't they always pick the MOST inconvenient times? LOL).

But that would be an excellent time frame. It would mean puppies born near the end of Feb, and ready to go to their new homes in early May. :D

I expect to have her finished well before her next season, Stevinski.

She needs one major to finish, and I have several opportunities coming up.

In the UNlikely event she does NOT finish by her next season, I will not breed her.

Hoping to have her ready to finish her CD title as well by early fall.

for me, I want it done before I breed her.

She is a cobby short bodied bitch. If she has a large litter (likely) she could permanently push her ribs or elbows out. She might not tuck up well after nursing. All sorts of things.

I have learned from others it's MUCH BETTER to go ahead and get her done BEFOREHAND.

So, if it does not happen before her next season, I'll just have to be patient, and I'll have more time to work on obedience titles.
