the new kitten i got has been trying to suckle on yoshi x.X i stop him every time i catch him doing that but he still does it like when i'm sleeping... because of this two or three of yoshi's nipples are like super hard and kinda... enlarged looking. and it's not right when he does it it's like all the time and one even has a little scab on it from where his teeth hit her. she just lays there and doesn't do anything or even act like she notices this. but is this something i should take her to the vet over she doesn't seem to notice anything different. is this hurting her?

Is yoshi spayed? Just wondering cuz sometimes if a bitch isn't fixed by the kitten suckling her it can cause a false pregnancy ;) . How old is the kitten? It sounds like he was too young to be taken away from his mom and that is why he is doing this :rolleyes: poor babies. I would definately at least call the vet and inquire about Yoshi as well as the kittens behavior :) .
yeah yoshi was spayed when i got her, she was four months old. the shelters law said i had to have her spayed before i could take her home. he is about 10 weeks old.

Maybe if you make a "false nipple" on a stuffed toy and direct the kittens attention to that he'll leave Yoshi alone.

Definatly stop this behavior. Although I have not seen this with dogs and cats, I have seen many spayed cats attempt to suckle kittens. We had one female in our cat room at work who had a litter of kittens aborted, and she would allow other kittens in the room to try an suckle her. Until the day that one kitten apparently got angry that the milk bar was closed and attempted to bite her nipple off! I would put some bitter apple or something similar on Yoshi's nipples for a little while. Thats what we ended up doing with this cat.
